Hi, I am Savi  J, the Purple Gypsy.

I am an Actuarial Science graduate from Johannesburg, South Africa and I am currently living in Hanoi, Vietnam.
I see myself as a true Gypsy at Heart. I love boho fashion and traveling to exotic destinations. My absolute favourite colour is Purple.

I started this blog as a form of expression and to share my experiences with you all.

I have recently discovered the smart phone lenses that Typo have brought out. They are absolutely amazing lenses that you can attach to any smart phone and take artistic shots without the need of the new specialized cameras. I have two types of lenses. The first one is a fish eye lens, so it has a rounded effect. Almost like you looking at the photo through a fish's eye. It creates amazing shots of scenic views or very creative pictures of you and your friends. The second type of lens is a kaleidoscope. This lens can create very unusual but eye catching photo's. When taking pictures with this lens, I would recommend to take them of single object in order to get the full effect. Top 5 Must Do's in Hoi An , Vietnam

1. Explore the Water Coconut woods on a basket boat This was one of the things I was most looking forward to doing in Hoi An. We did a tour and it ended with a ride on basket boat. Firstly, riding on the actual basket boat was a huge adventure. It amazing to see how they paddle it.And then, the beautiful scenery. Traveling through these woods was absolutely stunning and picturesque.  2 . Walking through the Ancient Town at Night Hoi An quickly became one of my favorite places I have visited so far, this was a lot to do with the look of the streets at night. The town is incredibility lite up by lanterns hanging from shops, restaurants and across the streets. There is a buzz in the air like no other place I have been to. The river is also lite up by beautiful boats and Lanterns you light and let go on the water. I felt like everywhere I looked I found another amazing views. 3.
