Quick and Easy Vietnamese Style Spring Rolls

Image
If you are look for something different but delicious to serve, these spring rolls are the perfect little snack or starter before a meal. They are also extremely healthy and delicious. Ingredients: Rice Paper wrappers Mayonnaise Any type of protein (e.g. chicken, crab, prawn) Any other salad ingredients that you enjoy eating. The ingredients are all up to personal tastes but in my example I have included crab, lettuce, red peppers, carrots and cucumber. Process: Cut protein and other ingredients into strips that will fit into the wraps. Places the wraps in water for about 15-20 seconds or until soft and pliable. Move the soft wraps onto a damp surface, preferably a wooden bord and ensure that they are flat. Place all your ingredients in to centre of the wrap and add some mayo over the top. Gypsy's Sunday Lunch

Image
With summer in full force, there is nothing better than to enjoy a wonderful Sunday lunch with friends or family. This is why, I have put together  the perfect outfit for the occasion. Mr Price is a huge favourite of mine, and this outfit is almost entirely from Mr Price with a few accessories from other amazing shops. It is an inexpensive, yet trendy shop, that stock all your fashion needs. This look is very boho and perfect to showcase your true gypsy style.  I love the off-the-shoulder black top. It is an incredible combination with the maxi skirt (as shown above), but can also look fabulous when paired with a pair of jeans. Midi rings are very in style at the moment and they are one of my Gypsy Must Haves. Lovisa have an amazing selection of midi rings, that come in all shapes and sizes. They are such a different addition to your look and can add that extra bit of edge to your outfit.  I hope you show up to your next Sunday lunch in style.

27 Boxes, Melville.

Image
27 Boxes is an amazing shopping centre, positioned right in the heart of Johannesburg's gypsy town,  Melville. It is made entirely out of shipping containers of all different colours. The shops are all very different and exciting, ranging from arty clothing to delicious cakes. It is a bright and vibrant place for young people as well as a great place to spend the day with the family. Two shops that stood out to me where an amazing macaroon shop and an exquisite cake shop. The cake shop, Crumbs 'n Smiles, can make any cake of your choice. The few on display included, a protea cake as well as a minion cake. Being a baker, this shop caught my eye due to the incredible detail in each cake. After looking around at this incredible place, we sat down at The Countess Gastro Pub for a bite to eat. We soon discovered that they make the most amazing milkshakes, with the most outrageous flavour combinations. For lunch, I enjoyed Cheese and Chorizo on ciabatta bread
