Stellenbosch Vineyards and Bistro 13.

Stellenbosch has always been on my list of places to visit and I have finally managed to take a trip down here.
Even though I have only spent a few days in the town, it has completely stolen my heart. The quirky street side cafe's , the stunning old buildings and the decor of each and every shop, creates an amazing vibe and atmosphere. It is a true gypsy town.

During our visit we had an impromptu lunch at Bistro 13, in the Stellenbosch Vineyards. It is an intimate bistro alongside the vineyards, with a majestic dam view. When entering you are greeted by beautiful ducks in a pond, which leads into a gorgeous white and sparkly interrior.
Of course being in a vineyard meant wine was defiantly on the table. We tried the Welmoed Chardonnay, which is produced at the Stellenbosch vineyards. It was slightly sweet but very smooth, I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Due to our visit being on a Sunday, we enjoyed an amazing set menu, that had a variety of delectable dishes. For main course, I had chicken breasts done in a lemon sauce, with chickpeas and baby greens and I finished off with a cheese board, that included many incredible combinations. It was a fantastic meal.

It was a great day spend out in the country, with some great food, wine and a delightful atmosphere.

Lots of Love
