My Perfect Festival Look

Image
Choosing the perfect outfit to wear to a festival is a difficult decision. One needs something that looks great, wont make you boil from heat and ,most importantly, something that is comfortable. I think this look incorporates all of the above. A hat is a great piece of fashion ,as well as perfect for a festival because you are likely to spend lots of time in the sun . This Kimono is so fabulous. It adds a very retro look to the outfit. It also comes in handy if it  gets a bit cold but you can also roll it up and put it into your handbag if you don't need it. I hope this look helps you when you plan your outfit for the next festival you attend. Please share your Perfect Festivals Looks with me. Gelato, Pasta, Pizza.....Italy!!!

Image
Gelato, Pasta, Pizza, Gorgeous Men and some more Gelato. A country with so many amazing places and such a rich history, where Gelato is the staple food of tourists and even some of the locals. I can only be talking about ITALY right?? Of course!! From the amazing Florentine alleyways, to the city of the Gladiators and then the floating city, what better place to travel to. My highlight of Florence was the tour guide we had, who took us all around the city. His favourite thing to speak about was 'Fake David'.I am sure most of you know that the famous statue of David is kept in the Accademia Gallery in Florence, but there is a replica of the statue in the Piazza della Signoria and to our tour guide this statue went under the name of 'Fake David', which is true I guess. But add an Italian accent to that and join a tour with fifty odd young adults and it becomes a whole lot of funny. 'Fake David'  Florence Roma Roma Roma! A city

France Part 2: The French Riviera and Monaco

Driving along the French country side we stumbled upon the Chateaux Fountainebleau which was a sovereign residency for eight centuries and later apartments where built on one wing for guests. Its beauty is undeniable and it is situated in the gorgeous, quaint, little town of Fountainebleau. Another treat was visiting a French Perfumery along the way. We went on a tour through the perfumery and learnt a few tips and tricks. Tip: the best place to spray your perfume is on your wrists, because it ensures the scent is long-lasting. I smelt the most amazing array of different scents and learnt a wealth of knowledge about perfumes. We stayed about a 5 minutes away from the beach, so as soon as we got there we stopped at a supermarket and got a picnic together and spend the whole evening on the beach. The sea is absolutely magical because it is so clear and has no waves. I am amazed how late the sun goes down in summer in Europe, and therefore 8pm is the best

France Part 1: The City of Love - Paris

Image
With a nervous but excited feeling in my stomach, I got off the plane in Paris and prepared for my new adventure all on my own. I found myself in a city filled with class, elegance, amazing culture and so much history. Each an every building has a story behind it and it is fascinating to see a city play out into a movie. I met my Contiki group in Paris and we spent the first night trying snails and French champagne. I, personally, did not enjoy the texture of the snails, however ,the French champagne was exquisite. With the sun slowly starting to appear from behind the clouds the next day, we made our way up the Eiffel Tower. First stop was to the 2nd level. It was an incredible sight as you can see Paris for miles and miles. And then when we got to the very top, the view was so breath taking - like something you only see in a painting. The Eiffel Tower was definitely one of my highlights of the trip. Other amazing sights included the Notre Dame, the Louvre and the Arc de
